Swirling Cirrus – Day 19 of 30

Well, with all of the seasonal changes upon us and hurricanes shifting our winds, our clouds are very inspiring in our north Texas area this week. My husband says I have my head in the clouds. I can always count on him and my son to keep me grounded.

This week, my son requested more colors to be added to my previous white textured series. Well, we will see. I always take his opinion into consideration. My son does have a good eye after all verses my husband, with an engineer mindset saying his usual, “It is Nice… I’ll take the criticism for growth even if it is an eight year old.

Skylark in Winter – 13 of 30

If you have kept track these past few weeks, I created six flowers, six textured cityscapes, and next I am working on a taking flight series of birds and/or possibly insects.

Today, I am inspired by the skylark, and how he takes off from the ground and flies to great heights while signing. He climbs while swirling and uses a circular movement before he returns to the ground thru the use of his steep spirals. It is his swooping perspective that is most apparent in my cityscapes paintings.

I would love to hear which of my playful perspectives is your favorite bird’s-eye view. I look forward to your comments below.
