Artist Bio

Sandra Mucha's interest in bending shapes started at an early age. She recalls the first time twisting and stretching a transferred newspaper comic with Silly Putty. Her curvilinear images may have also been influenced by living in extreme temperatures and different terrains. She was uprooted from whirling blizzards of western New York to the melting and sometimes visually warping flatlands of Texas summers. Sandra is a trained fine artist and textile designer living near Dallas TX.

Artist Bio

"My paintings provide the viewer a moment to be immersed into an underlying sense of calm. They are like looking through a morning dew drop and convey movement and space with the use of my playful perspectives and pattern.

I explore the structure and surfaces of buildings, scenes found in nature, and everyday objects. I use a creative process that allows me to distort my subject’s initial orderliness, leaving behind an unbroken view on canvas."
